Imperialism means "to extend a country's power through military and diplomacy". Imperialism are actions of strengthening a country's power through the use of military force for colonization, or other means. Imperialism is particularly focused on the control that one group, often a state power, has on another group of people. This is through many different forms based on racial, religious, or cultural stereotypes. There are "formal" and "informal" imperialism forms, which are formal imperialism that is explained as physical control of or colonial rule, then informal imperialism is less direct but it is still a powerful form of dominance. This has happened many times when a strong nation takes over a weaker nation or region and dominates its economic, political, and cultural life it is a way of life that many rich people or rulers choose to embark on. After the Industrial Revolution, this became a common practice of European nations seeking new sources of raw materials and markets to sell manufactured products.
